The name of this dish must be complete ie Gohu Ikan, the article if only call it gohu then the people of Ternate will consider it is a young papaya rujak is also popular in North Sulawesi.
Gohu Ikan made from raw tuna raw materials are given some simple spices, this is why many people call it as Ternate sashimi. For the community of North Sulawesi, Gohu means rujak. Because the fish presented raw and have a sense of fresh then many who consider it as rujak.
Gohu Ikan are generally made from tuna fish, but if the catch of tuna is rather difficult to obtain then the community replace it with skipjack. Both have tasty flavors even though the texture of the skipjack is not as soft as the tuna.
